 Location: Dublin- Hybrid
 Contract: Contract Role
 Pay Rate: €500 per day

Overview

We are looking for an experienced SQL Developer to join a global development team working on a critical finance control tool that supports daily PnL production processes for a large financial services environment.

This application is used by 500+ daily users and is maintained by a distributed team based across Europe and Asia. The successful candidate will play a key role in building new database functionality to support funded initiatives planned for 2026, while also contributing to modernization of development processes and tooling.

This is a great opportunity to work on a high-impact financial systems platform with strong exposure to enterprise-scale data environments.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and enhance Microsoft SQL Server database solutions
Build new database functionality supporting finance control applications
Collaborate with global development teams in an Agile environment
Contribute to improvements in development processes and tooling
Ensure solutions meet internal policies, standards, and compliance requirements
Support the full project lifecycle from design through to delivery
Investigate and resolve issues, owning them through to completionRequired Skills

Strong experience in Microsoft SQL Server development
Understanding of Agile and Lean software development practices
Good Object-Oriented design knowledge and architectural awareness
Broad technical understanding of enterprise systems
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Experience collaborating with global teams
Ability to drive efficient development practices
Strong ownership mindset and problem-solving skillsDesirable Skills

Experience within investment banking or financial services
Exposure to front office or middle office environments
Awareness of risk, compliance, and operational considerations within financial systems
