Rubicon Consulting is currently recruiting for a SR-163 site manager on a 12 month contract based in Isle of Skye. Role Summary Construction Interface Manager (Site Based) The Construction Interface Manager will be based on site and has a role of oversight of the construction partners, and during the Mechanical and Electrical installation phase includes the supervision of field installation superintendents, field engineering, contract administration, cost, and schedule (Project Controls), field procurement, finance and accounting services, and testing and commissioning. Responsible for maintenance of relevant plans and documentation. Accountabilities The CIM is accountable to the Construction Manager, Project Manager and Regional Construction Leader for performance, and to the Construction Manager and Project Manager for execution of assigned responsibilities within defined cost, scope, schedule, and contractual / regulatory requirements. Responsibilities The CIM does not replace the need for the Principal Contractor Site Manager (PCSM) however will ensure the Oversight and Governance remit of the Lead Consortium partner is fulfilled throughout the entire project scope and will co-ordinate the Mechanical & Electrical Product & Installation Supervisors, including staff, contractors, and vendors throughout the M&E / Commissioning phases. The CIM is responsible to: • Lead the day-to-day role in oversight & governance of the Construction project. • Coordinate with MYT PCSM for all M&E project activities including actions of us, subcontractors, suppliers, and their representatives. • Ensure the Implementation of a minimum of us, MYT and EGL1 EHS policies, security, housekeeping, and fire protection on the construction site. • Support development the project specific construction organisation. Ensure the organisation is composed of qualified and knowledgeable personnel and ensures effective personnel utilisation. Ensure the performance reviews are conducted on field staff in accordance with established schedule. • Support implementation of construction schedules, methods, staffing charts, and material and equipment requirements. • Review project cost and schedule performance through analysis of project reports and data. Coordinate with the Project Team • Monitor and analyse project safety, quality, delivery, and cost performance and ensure appropriate corrective actions are taken. • For the Construction organisation, support the CM and Project Manager to control project expenditures for labour, equipment, material, and services and ensure field operations are within budget. • Implement the established procedures to ensure construction operations meet the objectives of the project scope. Ensure corporate policies and procedures are fully implemented and if necessary establish project procedures and objectives to address site or project specific conditions. • Maintain client relationships. The CIM is the primary point of contact for client communications to the field relating to scope. • Ensure project security plan takes account of Scope and coordinate with the PC Rep. • Ensure FEs and FSs are properly trained for UK standards and at the appropriate time NGET or SPT safety rules. • Direct the development and implementation of a training program to ensure subordinate personnel receive progressive training to enable them to assume additional responsibilities. • Provide input into the overall project site safety program and ensure adherence to the Sensible Monitoring System. • Implement an effective community relations plan for the project. • Oversee project commissioning activities as required. Coordinate with the Project Commissioning Manager. • Ensure required permits and licenses are in place prior to the start of the affected work at the site. • Ensure teams have the capability to execute assigned scope in a safe, secure, and cost effective manner in accordance with the cost , technical, schedule, and quality baselines. • Assist the Field Superintendent with balancing and prioritizing construction resources to support successful execution. • Coordinate all construction activities to fully support project plans and schedules. Requirements SR163 site Manager with proven experience in HVDC or HV substation delivery.
