Job Description
Role Summary:
A 96-bed secure forensic hospital offering medium, low, and open rehabilitation care for men and women with mental illness and/or personality disorders.
As a Registered Mental Health Nurse, you'll be part of a skilled multi-disciplinary team providing safe, high-quality, patient-centred care. This includes assessing needs, implementing care plans, and supporting patient recovery in a structured, therapeutic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver safe, person-centred care across secure mental health pathways
Participate in assessments, planning, and evaluations of care
Support patients with complex and challenging behaviours
Work collaboratively with the wider MDT and contribute to clinical improvement
Ensure accurate documentation and compliance with NMC standards
Promote a therapeutic environment that aids rehabilitation and recovery
Essential Requirements:
Registered with the NMC (RMN)
Experience in secure, forensic, or acute mental health settings preferred
Ability to work shifts including nights, weekends, and bank holidays
Excellent team-working and communication skills
Commitment to professional development and patient-centred care
