Job Description
Hoist and Stairlift Service Technician
**Location:** East & West Sussex
**Salary:** £26,000 – £28,000 (Negotiable for experienced Engineers)
**Hours:** 8:30am – 5:00pm, Monday to Friday
**Benefits:** Company van, mobile phone, tools provided, private healthcare after 1 year
Our client a busy and respected Sussex-based mobility company, is seeking a skilled and motivated Hoist and Stairlift Service Technician to join their growing team. This is a hands-on, field-based role covering East and West Sussex, focusing on the servicing and installation of stairlifts and hoists.
What You’ll Do:
* Service and install a range of stairlifts and hoists
* Travel to customer locations across Sussex
* Participate in an on-call rota (1 weekend in every 4) — paid extra per hour
* Follow varied day work schedules
* Deliver excellent customer service on every job
Working Hours:
Standard hours: 8:30am – 5:00pm, Monday to Friday
On-call: 1 weekend in 4, with additional pay per hour
What You’ll Need:
* Experience servicing and installing various types of stairlifts
* Mechanical and electrical knowledge
* Relevant maths and technical qualifications
* Strong practical skills and common sense
* Willingness to learn new systems, including overhead hoists
* Ability to work independently and within a team
* Clear communication skills
* Full, clean UK driving licence
