Steam Maintenance Engineer – Overview
Looking for a company that trusts you to get the work done, without trackers on your van, no fixed call out rota and the ability to pick and choose your start and finish time that suit you?
With this company, you will be part of a tight knit team where the Directors still work on the tools on a daily basis, they understand the difficulties that Engineers face day in day out and what makes your job easier.
This company have been operating for over 40 years and are specialists in Steam Boiler and Pressure System Maintenance. You will be travelling to sites throughout home counties such as Oxfordshire, Northamptonshire, Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Berkshire and some works in London and Cambridgeshire carrying out Annual Insurance Work, 5 yearly NDT work, servicing, maintenance and general upkeep of valves, associated pipework, fault finding and repair on industrial steam boilers.
You will work in customer sites such as Hospitals, Research Facilities, Food and Drink Factories and Schools. Some days will be quieter than others but the only thing the company care about is trust and helping each other out. Some Engineers leave their house at the crack of dawn and finish earlier, whereas others prefer to get on the road after the morning rush hour and finish later. As long as the work is done, they don’t mind.
There is no set or fixed call out rota. Where a call out comes in, they try to push it to the next day. In a case of absolute emergency, the Director takes the call personally and will put it to the team to see who is available and you work together to take it in turns, ensuring its fairly spread across the team.
