Job Description

Steel Fitter / Steel Erector – Glasgow

Salary: £22 per hour + enhanced overtime rates (dependent on experience)
Location: Multiple sites in and around Glasgow
Type: Permanent

Global Recruitment is seeking an experienced Steel Fitter to join our client’s highly skilled team.

Key Responsibilities:

  * 

    Fitting, fabrication, and welding to a high standard, with a focus on architectural steelwork.

  * 

    Reading and interpreting engineering drawings accurately.

  * 

    Working independently in both workshop environments and on customer premises.

  * 

    Demonstrating flexibility across all aspects of engineering and working hours.

  * 

    Supervisory or leadership duties are advantageous but not essential.

Requirements:

  * 

    Proven experience fabricating architectural and structural steel.

  * 

    Ability to work with initiative and strong problem-solving skills.

  * 

    Excellent communication skills and a positive, flexible attitude.

  * 

    Valid CSCS Card (required).

  * 

    IPAF Certification (Preffered).
