Job Description
Required: CSCS Blue Carded Steelfixers
Duration: Ongoing Works
Overview of requirement:
Pyramid Recruitment is currently looking for a number of skilled steelfixers
Duties will include:
* To position and secure steel reinforcement bars or reinforcement steel mesh to reinforce concrete structures.
* Read and interpret reinforcement plans/drawings and reinforcement schedules for the job.
* Set out the work from these instructions.
* Make steel bars or mesh the required length/shape by bending them, cutting them with bolt cutters, guillotines, or power saws.
* Assemble the reinforcing bars or mesh by use of correct tying wire into predetermined locations prior to the concrete pour.
* Fabricate steel reinforcement such as beams, Pile Cap, Columns, or special units.
* Be familiar with the use of jigs.
* Join prefabricated units together for large sections of high rise or civil projects and position the reinforcement ready for concrete pours.
* Proven ability to understand and execute written & verbal instructions.
The ideal candidate will have:
* Good communication skills - both verbal and written
* CSCS Skilled Worker Card (Blue)
* Understanding of / interpretation of drawings both paper and 3D model
* Abrasive Wheels
* Working at heights Training [Scissor lift / IPAF / Harness training]
Benefits/Pay
* Basic Pay Rate: £22.42 ph.Overtime A(Saturday) - £33.63 ph., 1st 4 hours at time and a half thereafter double time
* Overtime B(Sunday) - £44.84 ph.
* Basic Hours: 39 hours, then 9 hours’ time and a half and breaks paid 2.5 hours = Total 50.5 hours
* £18.85 travel to site paid back to you.
* Lodge: £315.56
* Roughly £1595.54 before tax that is without overtime.
* After 2 months on site entitled to be part of the Bylor bonus scheme; up to max of 10% of hours worked based on agreed KPI’s.
* Pension scheme
* Flexibility to work changing work patterns which could include weekends, evenings and nights is essential.
* Paid every 2 weeks.
