Steel Plater / Structural Welder – Permanent Role
Location: Loughborough
Salary: £32,700 – £34,500 per year (depending on experience)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 07:30 – 16:30 (38 hours per week)
Type: Full-time, Permanent

We’re looking for an experienced Steel Plater / Structural Welder to join a respected and expanding engineering company based in Loughborough.
This is a secure, full-time position with excellent pay, a straight day shift, and genuine long-term opportunities. If you take pride in producing quality fabrication work and want to be part of a company that values skill and reliability, this is the role for you.
The Role
* Fabricate and prepare steel plate components from technical drawings
* Carry out high-quality MIG welding on structural steel
* Assemble and fit components using jigs and drawings
* Operate fabrication tools such as grinders, drills, shears and presses
* Check welds and finished work to meet quality standards
* Maintain a safe and organised work area at all times
What You’ll Need
* Previous experience as a Plater, Fabricator, or Structural Welder
* Ability to read and interpret drawings and weld symbols confidently
* Skilled in MIG welding
* Experience with Overhead, Vertical Up and Downhand welding
* A strong work ethic and team-focused attitude
