Job Description

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Structural Steel Supervisor / Construction Manager to join a leading main contractor delivering a major industrial construction project. We're looking for someone with a structural steel background who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has experience managing complex steel erection activities safely, efficiently and to the highest quality standards. The Role Reporting to the Senior Construction Manager, you'll be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day delivery of the structural steel package, ensuring works are completed safely, on programme and to specification. You'll work closely with engineering teams, package managers and specialist subcontractors to coordinate all aspects of the steel installation while maintaining the highest standards of health & safety and quality. Key Responsibilities * Supervise all structural steel erection activities across the project. * Coordinate subcontractors, crane operations and lifting activities. * Ensure works are delivered in line with programme milestones. * Monitor quality throughout installation and ensure works meet specification. * Review construction drawings and resolve site issues alongside engineering teams. * Coordinate temporary works and lifting plans. * Carry out site inspections and ensure compliance with health & safety procedures. * Lead daily briefings and toolbox talks. * Liaise with QA/QC teams regarding inspections and documentation. * Report progress, identify risks and implement solutions to maintain programme. About You * Previous experience supervising structural steel works on major construction projects. * Strong understanding of steel erection methodologies and lifting operations. * Excellent subcontractor management skills. * Main Contractor experience preferred. * SMSTS or SSSTS. * CSCS Card. Package * Up to £80,000 basic * 10% car allowance * Accommodation * Bonus * Medical & Pension
