Location: Brownhills, Walsall
Duration: Permanent
Pay Rate: £18.50 per hour (PAYE)
We are looking for an experienced Stick Welder to join a well-established manufacturing team in Brownhills. This is a long-term opportunity working day shifts.
Key Responsibilities
* Perform stick (MMA) welding on cast components.
* Work from engineering drawings and job specifications.
* Carry out high-quality welds on various castings to required standards.
* Maintain welding equipment and ensure a safe working environment.
* Contribute to a productive and efficient workshop environment.
Skills & Experience Required
* Proven experience as a Stick Welder (MMA).
* Ability to weld on castings is essential.
* Competent in working with carbon steel.
* Able to pass a weld test: plate double V butt weld on 12mm - 15mm carbon steel.
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship.
