Job Description
Abatec is recruiting a Stock & Logistics Operative to join our client’s busy and growing team in Weston-super-Mare.
About the Role
This diverse role involves a range of logistics operations supporting a busy production environment. You will work across Goods Inwards, Despatch, Lineside Stores, Core Control, and Goods Inwards Inspection. Key tasks include loading, unloading, packing, building packaging, stock checking, inventory management, and maintaining records via a computer-based ERP system. The ability to work well under pressure, manage time effectively, and meet tight deadlines is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
* Working across a range of logistics operations in a busy production environment.
* Handling Goods Inwards and Despatch duties
* Managing Lineside Stores and Core Control
* Conducting stock checks, packing, and building packaging
* Using ERP inventory systems for stock control and record keeping
* Participating in stocktakes and continuous improvement initiatives
Requirements:
* Experience in stores; production logistics experience is essential
* Proven experience in lineside production stores setup and management
* Proficiency with ERP inventory software systems
* Experience with stock control, stocktakes, and inventory management
* Valid FLT (Forklift Truck) license required; Flexi license advantageous (training provided)
