We are seeking an experienced Stock Control Manager to oversee all aspects of stock control across the business. This is a hands-on leadership role where you will be responsible for developing and managing processes that deliver stock accuracy, efficiency, and compliance.
The successful candidate will lead the stock control function, ensuring best practice, coaching the wider logistics team, and driving improvements across operations.
Stock Control Manager Key Responsibilities
· Lead and manage the stock control function, ensuring accuracy and efficiency at all times.
· Develop, implement, and maintain robust stock management processes.
· Identify and deliver process improvements to enhance accuracy and performance.
· Oversee regular physical inventory counts and ensure system records match actual stock levels.
· Ensure returned stock is accurately labelled, checked against MIS records, and stored promptly.
· Investigate discrepancies, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
· Ensure stock is securely stored and protected to prevent damage.
· Maintain clean, tidy, and organised stock areas.
· Collaborate with Goods In to resolve delivery and stock issues.
· Lead monthly stock checks and provide accurate reporting to management.
· Drive team awareness of stock control importance and build strong cross-department relationships.
· Attend meetings, represent the stock control function, and contribute to business improvement initiatives.
Stock Control Manager Skills, Knowledge and Experience
· Extensive stock management experience within a manufacturing or print environment.
· Previous experience in a managerial or supervisory stock control role.
· Valid FLT licence.
· Strong knowledge of stock control systems and processes.
· Experienced in using inventory management software and IT systems.
· Proven track record of implementing and managing improved processes.
· Strong leadership and delegation skills with the ability to motivate a team.
· Excellent analytical, organisational, and communication skills.
· Ability to work independently while managing cross-department collaboration.
· Proactive, self-motivated, and solutions-driven.
