Job Description

We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client for a Stock Controller based in Kyleakin, Isle of Skye. This is an excellent opportunity to join a dynamic team in a key operational role.   Location: Kyleakin, Isle of Skye Position: Stock Controller Contract Type: Temporary Start Date: ASAP Hours: Full-time, Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm Pay Rate: Competitive, based on experience Accommodation: Can be provided if required   Key Responsibilities: Monitor and manage stock levels, ensuring accuracy and availability Placing orders with suppliers, tracking shipments and ensuring the timely receipt of goods Receive, inspect and record deliveries Conduct regular stock counts and reconcile discrepancies Coordinate with purchasing and production teams Maintain accurate records using inventory management systems Maintaining accurate records of stock levels, movements and any relevant paperwork.  Implementing and adhering to health and safety procedures, standards and environmental legislation. Ensure storage areas are organised and comply with health and safety standards Working with other departments, such as sales and warehouse to ensure smooth operations.  Identifying and resolving issues related to stock and communicating them effectively.   Skills and Qualifications: Previous experience in a stock control or inventory management role Strong attention to detail and accuracy Good IT skills, particularly in inventory or warehouse management systems Communication skills to ensure effective communication with suppliers, customers and other team members.  Ability to work independently and as part of a team Physically fit and capable of handling stock as required Flexibility with working hours Industry experience: familiarity with mechanical parts and components is advantageous but not essential.  If you are reliable, organised and available for immediate start, we would love to hear from you.
