Job Description
Do you have experience within a Production, manufacturing and/or Warehouse environment? Are you based in or around Milton Keynes?
We have a temporary Stock Controller role available within DS Smith’s Packaging site in Milton Keynes. The Milton Keynes site is responsible for producing and distributing sustainable packaging solutions on a large scale. The successful applicant will be an IT literate individual with stock control/inventory experience, ideally with MHE and Scissor lift experience.
Location: DS Smith Packaging, Anderson Gate, Milton Keynes MK4 4AE
Rate: £14.54ph
Overtime available (OT 1.5)
Shifts: Mon-Fri (42 hours per week). 8.5 hours per day Mon-Thu and 8 hours on Fri.
(Start flexible, between 08:00 and 10:00. Finish also flexible, between 16:30-18:30)
Contract length: 3 months initially with the view to extend or offer a permanent position
Start: ASAP (within 1-2 weeks)
Responsibilities:
*
Preparing and generating reports using MS office applications and internal systems
*
Using MS office and Outlook to complete daily administrative tasks
*
Ensuring accuracy of data reports at all times
*
Liaising with operations management in relation to inventory control
*
Investigating stock anomalies and discrepancies as they arise
*
Managing and delivering stock cycle counts and stock audits
*
Reviewing automated reports to confirm actual stock levels
*
Ensuring consistent and quality standards are met at all times
*
Adhering to UK Health and Safety legislation at all times
Essential requirements:
*
Previous experience within a production, warehouse or manufacturing environment
*
Strong written and verbal communication skills
*
Profound understanding of MS office (including excel)
*
Excellent knowledge of UK Health and Safety legislation
*
Consider themselves to be a good team player, motivated and quality conscious
*
MHE qualified and experienced (desirable, can be trained to an individual without this)
*
Scissor lift qualified and experienced (desirable, can be trained to an individual without this)
