East Midlands Gateway, Castle Donington
From £27,000 p/a

Are you highly organized with a keen eye for detail? We’re looking for a Stock Controller to join the dynamic logistics team at the East Midlands Gateway. This is a great opportunity for someone with experience in inventory control or warehouse administration to play a key role in driving stock accuracy and operational efficiency.
In this position, you’ll be responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date stock records in our Warehouse Management System (WMS). You'll ensure the integrity of inventory through regular reconciliations, investigations, and reporting — all vital to enabling seamless warehouse operations and satisfying customers.
Hours of Work:
• Starting mid - late August 2025, this role is offered on a temporary to permanent basis.
• Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week, 0800-16:30
Key Responsibilities
Perform regular cycle counts and stock takes
Investigate and resolve stock discrepancies
Update and maintain inventory data in the WMS/ERP system
Generate and analyse inventory reports to support operational decisions
Monitor inbound/outbound stock movements for accuracy
Collaborate with warehouse teams, customer services, suppliers, and carriers
Ensure compliance with internal controls and customer requirements
Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying trends and recommending solutions
Uphold health & safety protocols within the warehouse environment
About You
To succeed in this role, you’ll need:
Experience: At least 1-2 years in inventory, stock control, or warehouse administration
Skills:
Strong attention to detail
Excellent organisational and time management abilities
Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Problem-solving and analytical thinking
Proficiency in WMS, ERP systems (e.g. SAP, Oracle, Manhattan), and Excel
Knowledge:
Basic understanding of inventory control principles
Familiarity with logistics and 3PL warehouse operations
Awareness of health & safety standards in warehousing
