We are a successful producer of haggis, vegetarian haggis and black pudding products, widely available throughout the year and for all of those special occasions too. This is an exciting opportunity for the successful candidate to join Macsween Ltd., one of Scotland’s best known and loved food brands!
Overview
Are you passionate about precision, detail, and ensuring smooth operations behind the scenes? The Stock Controller is central to maintaining accurate inventory records and supporting our production and procurement activities.
This role is responsible for ensuring that all stock movements are timely, fully traceable, and accurately recorded both electronically and approved operational paperwork. You will play a vital part in stock planning, site transfers, and preparing goods for production and dispatch.
Hours: 40 hours per week between 6:00 AM – 5:00 PM (normal shift 8 hours, typically 7:00 am- 4:00 PM)
Key Responsibilities Include:
Stage One:
* Record and process stock movements using pc system, Unity and standard paperwork
* Perform regular and accurate stock counts
* Maintain traceability of Work In Progress across site
* Ensure all stock areas are tidy and support smooth production flow
* Prepare stock for dispatch, cold store, and tempering processes
* Collaborate closely with Procurement, Planning, Dispatch, and Production teams
Stage Two (Post-Probation):
* Lead goods-in processing at the Yard using Unity
* Maintain supplier documentation and technical checklists
* Supervise the Yard Team and support accurate GRN recording
* Manage suspense stock under Technical’s instruction
* Oversee warehousing of all product codes across all storage areas
Essential:
* Strong communication and problem-solving skills
* Comfortable with stock systems and quick to learn new processes
* Good working knowledge of Excel
Desirable:
* Level 3 Food Hygiene & HACCP certified
* Previous experience with food manufacturingBefore You Apply
