Day rate: £500 per day
Contract: 3-6 months (potential to go permanent)
Hybrid: 2 days remote / 3 days on site
We are looking for a skilled Stock Investment Manager to lead the delivery of planned, cyclical, and major works projects. You'll play a pivotal role in ensuring safe, compliant, and high-quality investment in housing stock, while managing a team and driving contractor performance.
Key responsibilities:
Lead on the design, procurement, and delivery of refurbishment and maintenance projects.
Manage external contractors and consultants, ensuring compliance with health & safety.
Act as contract administrator, overseeing payments, disputes, and final accounts.
Ensure works meet building regulations and technical standards.
Develop and implement investment strategies that maximise value and sustainability.
Line manage a team of Contract Managers and Clerks of Works, promoting a positive and professional culture.
Prepare reports, policies, and technical briefs to support strategic decision making.
Engage with residents and stakeholders, ensuring excellent communication throughout projects.
Manage a small team of 5 or 6.What we're looking for:
Proven experience delivering housing refurbishment and investment programmes.
Strong knowledge of building regulations, compliance, and contract management.
Skilled leader with experience managing multidisciplinary teams.
Commercially astute, with the ability to deliver value for money.
Confident communicator, able to engage with residents, contractors, and senior stakeholders.
This is a hands-on leadership role with excellent prospects for moving into a permanent position at the end of the contract.
