Storeman - Inventory Co-ordinator (257dm) – Durham - £28000-£40000 DOE
Our client is looking for an experienced Storeman /Inventory Co-ordinator to maintain control, accountability and operational readiness of all Stock Order Replenishment (SOR) assets at their customer sites.
They will need to ensure stock levels are accurate, accessible, and compliant with contractual obligations.
Serve as the primary liaison between the company and customer, ensuring seamless supply chain operations.

Ideal candidates are those who have worked within the QM's.
CORE DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Stock Control and Readiness
-Maintain full accountability of all SOR stockrooms under your control.
-Ensure stockrooms are organised, accessible, and operationally effective according to customer and company standards.
-Conduct scheduled stock checks in line with internal procedures and customer service agreements.
-Identify, report, and rectify stock shortfalls or surpluses swiftly to maintain operational readiness.
2. Customer Liaison and Support
-Build and maintain strong working relationships with on-site customer representatives.
-Anticipate and respond to potential stock shortages or additional requirements to ensure uninterrupted support.
-Communicate any operational issues or opportunities through the proper chain of command.
3. Documentation and Compliance
-Obtain and maintain signed SOR loan agreements for all controlled stockrooms.
-Ensure all stock level agreements are properly documented: copies to the customer, originals retained at their branches.
-Execute stock adjustments in line with directives from management (e.g., part supercessions or discontinued items).
4. Operational Flexibility
Respond promptly to instructions from the Branch Manager and leadership.
-Support additional operational tasks as required to ensure mission success and smooth business operations.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS & ATTRIBUTES
-Experience in logistics, inventory, or supply chain operations; knowledge of truck & trailer parts is advantageous.
-Strong attention to detail, accountability, and situational awareness.
-Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
-Disciplined time management; ability to perform under pressure.
-Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
-Professional conduct, reliability, and self-discipline at all times.
DESIRABLE ATTRIBUTES
-Self-motivated, mission-focused, and adaptable.
-Well-presented and professional in all dealings.
-Full U.K. driving licence.
-Demonstrates initiative, teamwork, and problem-solving under operational conditions.
