Pay: £14.42 per hour
Hours: Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm – Job runs to end of October 2025
PRS are recruiting for an experienced Storesperson based in Barnsley.
We are seeking to recruit for a first-class inventory and stores operation, delivering the necessary service level requirements to ensure the smooth running of a store room/department.
Principal Accountabilities:
Management of day-to-day inventory and stock control
Control all stock from goods inwards to despatch
Maintain and control stock levels
To source material and tooling for all related technical jobs
Processing orders and delivery of spare parts, components and lab equipment
Distribution of parts to technicians
Minimal counter service response time
Maximise accuracy of database to reduce stock variance and the number of stock adjustment
Improved clarity of equipment specification to ensure the right parts are in stock and supplied
Drive excellent inventory management practices to ensure an optimum stock level value
To load and unload deliveries
Source, develop and maintain relationship with suppliers and subcontractors.
Adherence to all processes for laboratory conditions
Contribution to the smooth running of the laboratories by carrying out a range of non-project procedures
Excelling in Customer Service
Maximum stock levels at all times
Reduced down time due to lack of available stock Experience:
Previous stores experience
Front facing customer service skills
Good level of education
Computer literate
