Job Description
Our client in Thatcham is seeking a reliable and motivated Stores Controller to support their busy warehouse operations.
This full-time, temp-to-perm role offers a fantastic opportunity for the right candidate to secure a long-term position with a growing company.
You’ll work closely with the Senior Stores Controller, taking responsibility for managing stock supplies, carrying out quality checks, and handling all inbound and outbound materials. Shift:
* 07:00am - 15:30pm
* Monday to Friday
* 40 hours per week
Pay:
* £13.42 per hour
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
* Efficiently pick jobs for customers and dispatch
* Storing and rotating stock according to established procedures
* Reporting any damaged or missing goods to Warehouse Managers or Supervisors
* Updating and maintaining the stock control system, including labelling stock
* Keeping the warehouse environment clean and tidy and maintaining equipment
* Assisting with warehouse inventory controls
* Evaluate incoming materials, extrusions and components from suppliers to ensure they meet the required quality standards before use in production. (Measure and confirm dimensions are correct using basic technical drawings)
* Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality
* Identify defects or non-conformities in materials, powder coating, components, or finished products and document findings for QC manager
* Administrative and operational responsibilities may be required from time to time such as holiday cover for colleagues.
* Occasional site work may be required, including deliveries of stores material to site on occasion.
Essential Requirements:
* Forklift licence – Counterbalance
* Full clean Driving License
