Stores & Stock Control Operative – Full-Time, Permanent
Holt Engineering are currently recruiting for a reliable and organised Stores & Stock Control Operative to join a busy engineering and manufacturing environment. This is a great opportunity for someone with previous warehouse, stores or stock control experience who is looking for a stable, permanent position.
Key Responsibilities for the Stores & Stock Control Operative:
Booking goods in and out using Sage 200
Checking deliveries and reporting any missing, damaged or incorrect items
Picking and preparing stock for customer orders
Assembling products and components when required
Organising collections and deliveries, including completing the relevant paperwork
Keeping stock records accurate and up to date
Assisting with regular stock checks and stock takes
Working with the production and engineering teams to ensure materials are available when needed
Helping to maintain accurate stock and product information
Keeping the stores and warehouse clean, tidy and organised
Liaising with suppliers and other departments when required
Carrying out general administration and stores duties as requiredWhat the Stores & Stock Control Operative will need:
Previous experience in a warehouse, stores or stock control environment
Good attention to detail and accuracy
Experience using a stock control system is advantageous
Sage 200 experience is desirable but not essential
Good organisational skills
Comfortable working with stock, paperwork and computer systems
Good communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Previous experience handling electrical or engineering components would be beneficial
Good understanding of health and safety
