Stores Assistant

Location: Woore
Salary: £12.71 per hour
Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8:00am–4:30pm
Contract: Weekly paid contract

We are currently recruiting for a Stores Assistant to join a busy and fast-paced warehouse team based in CW3.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous warehouse or stores experience, ideally gained within a manufacturing or distribution environment. The successful candidate will be organised, reliable and methodical, with a strong understanding of health and safety within a warehouse environment.

Please note, this role can be physically demanding due to the size and type of products handled.

Key Responsibilities

  * Receiving, checking and storing incoming goods

  * Picking and preparing materials for production

  * Loading and unloading goods safely

  * Moving stock around the warehouse

  * Maintaining accurate stock records

  * Using handheld scanners and warehouse management systems

  * Ensuring stock is stored correctly and efficiently

  * Supporting stock checks and inventory control

About You

The ideal candidate will have:

  * Previous experience in a stores, warehouse or similar role

  * Experience within a manufacturing or distribution environment is desirable

  * A good understanding of warehouse health and safety

  * Strong attention to detail and an organised approach

  * The ability to work as part of a team

  * A self-motivated and reliable attitude

  * The ability to carry out physically demanding duties

Counterbalance and/or Reach Truck licences are highly desirable.

Experience using WMS systems and handheld scanning devices would also be beneficial.

Important Information

Due to the location in Woore, candidates must have their own transport, as the site is not served by public transport.

Successful candidates will be required to undergo a DBS check. The company operates a zero-tolerance approach to alcohol and drug misuse and may carry out random testing. Candidates should make us aware of any relevant DBS disclosures in advance.
