Job Description
A key part of this role will be to maintain the stores in an orderly, safe and well-presented manner. With an ongoing programme of change and improvement within the operations department, this role will be important in both supporting and delivering change on an ongoing basis to improve processes. It is expected that the right candidate will be adaptable and proactive to fulfil the demands of this dynamic role.
Examples of Responsibilities:
• General stores/warehouse duties
• Checking orders on arrival and dealing with discrepancies/shortages
• General supervision of goods in / goods out
• Communication / Co-ordination with Operations Management to ensure stock availability to suit production/site needs.
• Monitor stock levels of consumables
• Place orders for consumable items as required to ensure availability for production whilst minimising stock holding.
• Manage stores area in both an organised and safe manner.
• Picking and kitting of equipment for projects
• Compliance with quality, environmental and health and safety management system processes (ISO9001, ISO14001, OHSAS18001)
• Stock Takes as requested
• Update and Maintain stock database
Required Skills / Experience:
• Previous Stores experience or experience in a similar role is highly desirable
• Be computer literate with previous experience of stock management systems being an advantage
• Must hold a valid forklift truck licence
• Must hold a valid UK driving licence
• Has excellent communication and relationship building skills
• Good attention to detail and accuracy
• Can proactively identify areas where current processes are flawed and find ways to address them
• Can perform well under pressure and deliver to deadlines
• Shows flexibility and can adapt to the needs and demands of different groups, situations and internal stakeholdersBefore You Apply
