Stores Operative - Cwmbran
Permanent working days Monday - Friday
£27,000 pa and excellent benefits
We are recruiting for a Stores Operative for our client based in Cwmbran, reporting to the UK Operations Manager.
Stores Operative duties include:
* Responsibility for handling, checking goods inwards, goods outwards & inventory control functions of main stores.
* Supervision of stock components from work in progress to finished goods, as well as outgoing packages while assuming accuracy and quality.
* Operation of related company equipment such as forklifts, tools & testing equipment.
* Co-coordinating company freight inwards & outwards activities, with freight forwarding services.
* Responsibility for meeting related workshop schedules in coordination with company requirements.
* Ensure that the appropriate safety guidelines including the use of personal protective equipment are adhered to.
* Upkeep / maintenance of stores area - Including company Tools, Equipment & Assets.
* Adherence to companies ISO 9000 Quality, and Health & Safety procedures.
* Other duties as required to support company business.
Stores Operative skills/experience:
* The ability to work on your own initiative and also as part of a team.
* Excellent organisational skills.
* Possess a Mechanically inclined mindset.
* Excellent interpersonal / communication skills.
* A flexible and innovative approach to work.
* Ability to work with company Inventory Management & other company IT systems.
* Secondary level education or equivalent.
* Technical problem solving & trouble shooting experience.
* Practical hands on mechanical training or experience.
* Forklift/Counterbalance experience.
* Previous background working in a similar inventory or stock control role.
