Job Description
We are currently looking to recruit for a Stores Operative for our client based in Sunderland.
This is a 3 month contract position.
Candidates must have a CSCS card
As a Store Operative you will be responsible for managing and maintaining the inventory of the store ensuring efficient and accurate handling of goods. This role involves receiving storing and dispatching materials as well as maintaining accurate records. You will play a key role in supporting the smooth operation of the store and ensuring that materials are readily available for various projects and departments.
Key Responsibilities:
Receive inspect and store incoming materials and supplies.
Maintain accurate inventory records and documentation.
Pick pack and dispatch materials as required.
Conduct regular inventory checks and audits to ensure accuracy.
Collaborate with internal teams to fulfill material requests and support project needs.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
Maintain a clean and organized store environment.
Identify and report any discrepancies or issues with inventory.
Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts safely and efficiently.
Support the continuous improvement of store operations and inventory management processes.
Qualifications:
Required:
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Proficiency in inventory management software and tools.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
High level of integrity and professionalism.
Preferred:
Experience in inventory management warehousing or a related field.
Familiarity with industry-specific regulations and standards.
