Stores Operative – Huddersfield
Day Shift: Monday–Friday | Rotating 06:00–14:00 & 09:45–18:00

We’re recruiting a Stores Operative with Counterbalance FLT licence required to join a busy warehouse team in Huddersfield. This role is key to keeping stock accurate, orders fulfilled on time, and the warehouse organised and safe.

Key Responsibilities:

  * Receive deliveries, check goods against purchase orders, and inspect for damages

  * Accurately record and label stock in inventory systems

  * Store materials in designated locations following company procedures

  * Pick, pack, and dispatch orders efficiently

  * Conduct regular stock counts and assist with inventory audits

  * Maintain a clean, safe, and organised warehouse

  * Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet trucks or forklifts - counterbalance FLT

  * Follow health & safety regulations at all times

  * Report stock discrepancies, damages, or shortages to supervisors

What we’re looking for:

  * Previous warehouse or stores experience (desirable but not essential)

  * Reliable, punctual, and physically able to handle stock

  * Attention to detail and strong organisational skills

  * Team player with a proactive approach

  * Counterbalance FLT essential
