Job Description
Our client based in Plymouth is a well-established and leading manufacturer of precision engineered products made from ferrous and non-ferrous metals used in some of the world’s most exciting and challenging environments.
Their high tolerance safety critical products can be found in various regulated markets such as Marine, Nuclear, Renewable Energy and Oil and Gas.
They are currently seeking a Stores Person.
Their clean modern premises are based in Plymouth PL7 and are very close to public transport connections plus there is plenty of free car parking available.
Here’s what you will be doing:
Stock receipt & despatch as required by production team to meet demand.
Recording raw materials and finished stock locations for all goods required in our business.
Checking in new stock into goods inward and completing and filing all relevant quality documentation
Picking and packing stock ready for production requirements or dispatch
Completing and filing all relevant invoice documentation
Dealing with deliveries both inbound and outbound
You should:
Be willing to learn new skills as there is plenty of training available.
Be happy to use your hands any mechanical engineering knowledge would be useful.
Be a good communicator.
Have good timekeeping.
Forklift truck licence would be advantageous, however training can be provided
Be able to cut material and help pack for dispatch as and when required
Have a can do attitude and be willing to assist other department when and if needed
Hours: 39 per week (Monday to Thursday 8 till 5 / Friday 8 till 1) / 23 days holiday plus bank holidays, additional long service holidays
Salary circa: £25 - 27,000 per annum depending on experience.
