Job Title: Stores Person
Location: Warrington
Contract Type: Permanent
Reports to: Stores Supervisor / Operations Manager
Role Purpose:
We are looking for a motivated Stores Person to manage the receipt, storage, and issue of materials, parts, and consumables. The successful candidate will ensure accuracy, efficiency, and compliance within the stores environment while supporting production and business operations.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Stores Person, you will receive, inspect and log incoming goods, ensuring all deliveries match purchase orders.
Maintain stock in an orderly, secure, and accessible manner, keeping accurate records of all materials.
Pick, pack, and issue components to production and other departments as required.
Conduct regular stock checks and cycle counts to ensure all inventory is accurate.
Ensure compliance with health & safety, environmental, and company procedures.
Assist with dispatch activities, including packaging, labelling, and arranging transport.
Raise and escalate any discrepancies or shortages to the relevant departments.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the stores team.
Key Skills & Experience:
Previous experience as a Stores Person or in a warehouse/logistics environment.
Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems and stock control processes.
Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
Ability to operate forklifts/lifting equipment (licence desirable).
Flexible, proactive, and able to work under pressure while maintaining accuracy.
Working Hours:
Monday to Thursday: 07:30 – 16:30
Friday: 07:30 – 12:30
Salary & Benefits:
£28,000 – £35,000 (depending on experience)
Company bonus scheme linked to individual and company performance
