Store Person (Temporary - Immediate Start)
Location:Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk
Contract Type: Full-Time, Temporary (Potential to become permanent for the right candidate)
Start Date: ASAP
Our client is urgently seeking an experienced and reliable Store Person to join their busy Stores Team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to step into a fast-paced, hands-on role with the potential for long-term employment.
Key Responsibilities:
Receive goods into inventory and accurately locate them using internal systems.
Pick materials in line with production requirements and distribute to relevant departments.
Produce spares kits and replenish lineside stock as per standard procedures.
Support daily cycle counting and maintain accurate stock records.
Create and manage Kanban systems to support supply chain and production flow.
Maintain high standards of health and safety, quality, and housekeeping.
Assist with training and support of colleagues as needed.
Adapt to changing priorities and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements:
Valid and in-date Counterbalance Forklift Truck licence.
Minimum 2 years' experience in a Goods-In or Store Person role.
High attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Strong computer literacy, including ERP systems and Microsoft Office.
Positive, proactive attitude with excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Physically able to handle manual handling tasks in a manufacturing environment.
Working Hours:
Monday & Tuesday: 6:00 am - 4:00 pm (½ hour unpaid lunch)
Wednesday & Thursday: 6:00 am - 3:45 pm (½ hour unpaid lunch)
