Job Description

New Resource Recruitment are delighted to be working with a highly innovative and growing engineering and manufacturing business to recruit a Stores & Stock Control Manager.

Our client is a specialist manufacturer of advanced industrial systems used globally within the agricultural and engineering sectors. Based in Somerset, they design and produce high-performance equipment and have recently expanded operations with a significant investment in a new facility.

The Role

This is a key position within the business, responsible for overseeing all aspects of stores, inventory, and stock control to support production and operational efficiency.

You will play a crucial role in ensuring materials are available when needed, stock levels are accurate, and processes are efficient and scalable as the company continues to grow.

Key Responsibilities

  * 

    Manage all day-to-day stores and stock control operations

  * 

    Maintain accurate inventory records and stock levels

  * 

    Implement and improve stock control systems and processes

  * 

    Oversee goods in/out, storage, and material handling

  * 

    Work closely with procurement, production, and engineering teams

  * 

    Carry out regular stock audits and reconciliations

  * 

    Identify and resolve discrepancies or inefficiencies

  * 

    Lead and develop stores personnel

  * 

    Ensure health & safety standards are maintained within the stores area

Requirements

  * 

    Proven experience in a Stores / Warehouse / Stock Control Manager role

  * 

    Strong understanding of inventory management systems (ERP/MRP)

  * 

    Experience within manufacturing, engineering, or production environments

  * 

    Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills

  * 

    Strong attention to detail and accuracy

  * 

    Ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced environment

  * 

    Leadership or supervisory experience desirable
