Job Description

This role involves providing vital support in coordinating all works and events affecting carriageways and footways, ensuring compliance with the Traffic Management Act 2004, and maintaining the Streetworks register. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in streetworks who is keen on contributing to the improvement of journey times, journey time reliability, and customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities: Providing support in coordinating all works and events affecting the carriageways and footways on Roads Ensuring compliance with the Network Management Duty under the Traffic Management Act 2004 Maintaining the Streetworks register to accurately reflect works on the highway Improving journey times, journey time reliability, and customer satisfaction Validating and checking all permit applications and notices submitted to the Streetworks Register using Street Manager and Confirm Validating and checking all geographical information on permit applications Checking works against Section 58 and 58A restrictions and resolving conflicts Ensuring works are in compliance with road designations, special events, engineering difficulties, and parking restrictions Job Requirements: Experience of dealing effectively with utility companies and highway maintenance contractors Experience with the street works system Street Manager, and ideally Confirm Good knowledge of computer systems, particularly a Streetworks system such as Confirm and Street Manager Benefits: Opportunity to work in a vital role within the local community Professional development and training opportunities Supportive and collaborative work environment If you have a background in streetworks and are looking to apply your skills to improve the local community, we want to hear from you.
