A leading player in the aerospace sector is seeking an experienced Repair Fatigue & Damage Tolerance (F&DT) Engineer to join a highly reactive, multidisciplinary team delivering real-time engineering solutions for in-service aircraft.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an engineer with strong structural analysis expertise and hands-on repair experience to contribute to the safety and longevity of commercial aircraft in operation. You'll be joining a collaborative and fast-moving team that thrives on solving complex challenges — often with tight turnaround times.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform F&DT analysis on damaged metallic aircraft structures using industry-standard tools and methods.
Support the design, development and justification of structural repairs, in line with certification and airworthiness requirements.
Work closely with repair design and static stress engineers to provide optimised, airworthy repair solutions.
Create, review and compile detailed engineering documentation and justification reports.Requirements:
Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering degree (or equivalent experience).
Solid understanding of Fatigue & Damage Tolerance principles and application to metallic structures.
Proven experience using F&DT analysis tools, ideally ISAMI and Mathcad.
Strong documentation and reporting skills to meet engineering and regulatory standards.
Experience working in a time-sensitive, reactive engineering environment.Preferred:
Prior experience with aircraft wing repairs.
