The successful Structural Design Engineer will be responsible for:
Producing accurate and compliant designs for multibeam, multichannel, and multideck systems, with substantiated calculations.
Reviewing and interpreting architectural and structural engineers’ drawings, ensuring designs are both practical and cost-effective.
Providing technical advice and support to specifiers, customers, and internal teams across the UK.
Checking and verifying design calculations and drawings produced by colleagues.
Preparing bills of materials to support project costing and sales activity.
Supporting the business in the development of digital engineering capabilities and design software tools.
Ensuring all projects meet CDM requirements, ISO standards, CE marking, and wider compliance obligations.
Delivering presentations and technical updates on product performance, structural design, and project-specific solutions.
The ideal Structural Design Engineer will bring:
A degree in Structural or Civil Engineering (essential).
Strong knowledge of construction methods and building techniques.
Excellent analytical, planning, and organisational skills with a keen eye for detail.
The ability to communicate clearly and work collaboratively with colleagues and clients.
A full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel between sites.
Ideally, 2+ years’ experience in a structural engineering role, with familiarity in AutoCAD, 3D modelling, or cold-formed steel design.
