Job Description
A fast-growing and highly respected structural engineering consultancy specialising in timber design is looking for a Structural Engineer to join its small, but highly skilled team. Along with a salary of up to £45,000 per annum, you will receive flexible working hours, fully remote working opportunities, a family-friendly culture and 24 days holiday, plus bank holidays and additional flexibility for personal needs.
Established nearly 2 years ago, this dynamic firm has quickly earned a reputation for delivering high-quality engineering solutions. This is an exciting opportunity to work on innovative timber engineering projects, whilst enjoying the flexibility of a fully remote role.
As Structural Engineer, you will:
Deliver structural design solutions for timber projects, ensuring compliance with UK standards and client specifications.
Produce accurate technical drawings and calculations using AutoCAD and specialist timber software (i.e. MasterSeries, iCalc).
Work collaboratively with the Managing Director and Senior Engineer to meet tight project deadlines.
Communicate effectively with clients and colleagues to ensure designs are practical, buildable, and aligned with project requirements.
We’re looking for a Structural Engineer with:
Previous experience working with timber structures in a similar role.
Proficiency in AutoCAD and a good understanding of timber design software (MasterSeries, iCalc desirable).
Strong knowledge of UK building regulations and Eurocodes.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to thrive in a small, remote-working team.
