Structural / Temporary Works Design Engineer

📍 Bristol | 💰 Up to £50,000 | 🏗 Hybrid Working

Are you a Structural Engineer with experience in Temporary Works?
Looking to work on complex construction projects while progressing toward Chartership?

🔍 What You'll Be Doing

You’ll be involved in the design and delivery of temporary works solutions for a wide range of construction and infrastructure projects.

Your day-to-day work may include:

✔ Designing temporary works structures – propping, shoring, scaffolding and excavation support
✔ Producing structural calculations and design reports using Eurocodes
✔ Preparing drawings and design details using AutoCAD or similar software
✔ Working closely with contractors, site teams and project managers
✔ Visiting sites to ensure designs are practical and implemented safely
✔ Contributing to technical reviews and design meetings

🧠 What We're Looking For

You might be a great fit if you have:

🎓 A Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
📊 Around 3–6 years’ experience in structural or temporary works design
📐 Good knowledge of Eurocodes and BS5975 Temporary Works procedures
💻 Experience with structural analysis and CAD software
🏆 Interest in progressing toward Chartered Engineer status (ICE or IStructE)
