The Opportunity
We’re seeking an experienced Structural Engineer to join our growing team in Paisley. This role is ideal for a well-rounded professional who is confident working across different structural materials and project types. You'll play a key role in relieving workload from senior staff, taking ownership of projects, and contributing to high-quality design delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and deliver structural designs for timber, steel, and concrete structures
Work across both residential and commercial/industrial projects
Liaise directly with CAD technicians, clients, and contractors
Prepare structural condition reports (where competent)
Contribute to the design of total frame solutions (steel)
Support fit-out and refurbishment projects for national retail clients
Collaborate with internal teams to meet deadlines and quality expectations
Operate within industry-standard software (e.g., CAD, TEDDS, etc.)What We’re Looking For
Minimum 5 years of experience in structural engineering
Proficient in timber, steel, and concrete structural design
Comfortable working independently with background support when needed
Strong communication and client liaison skills
Not required to be a certifier but open to those aspiring to be one
Ideally familiar with industry tools and able to contribute to CAD processes
Comfortable working on 1–2 projects at a time from concept to delivery
Chartered or working towards chartership as a minimumWorking Environment & Benefits
