Job Title: Student Personal Development Manager Hours: 37 Hours Mon to Fri – Full Time, Permanent Salary: £38,601 - £39,190 (DOE and Qualifications) + Teachers Pension & Staff Benefits Location: Cambridge Herts Resourcing Group (HRG) is working with a college in Cambridge and we’re actively looking for a Student Personal Development Manager to join their team. The successful applicant will Plan, manage and implement the college’s centrally devised personal development programme for students, adult learners and apprentices, including materials for tutors and teachers, student voice programmes, enrichment, and events linked to national and local priorities. What You’ll Do (including but not limited to): * To lead on the planning, development and delivery of the personal development Calendar to ensure that topics, events and activities are included that provide an appropriate and relevant programme, relating to the personal development curriculum in line with Ofsted requirements * To lead on the creation, development and consistency of tutorial resources (TMail) for all provision types, differentiated by level, in collaboration with curriculum and quality teams. * Develop and deliver training for tutors on TMail topics and other elements of personal development delivery where they may require additional support/coaching * To lead on the planning and delivery of Freshers’ Fairs, enterprise competitions and other cross-college events and activities relating to personal development * To lead on the co-ordination and development of a cross-college inclusive enrichment offer, monitor student and apprentice engagement and increase participation. To work with relevant departments to support, help inform, and embed a relevant enrichment programme. * Lead on the Students’ Union Executives from the elections process and ensure they are supported to promote their work, engage students on relevant student voice and enrichment initiatives. * To lead and chair the sub-committee of the College Environment & Sustainability Group (Student Awareness & Engagement Group), which has a focus on student participation. This includes the overseeing of the Student Eco-Council You Must Have: * A degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant field & qualified to minimum Level 2 standard in English and Maths * A relevant Level 3 qualification or equivalent relevant to the role * Experience of working within an FE provision * Proven experience in managing personal development programmes within an educational setting * Experience in successfully leading and managing teams. What we’re looking for: * A high calibre dynamic manager with a passion for the personal development and success of young people, with proven experience in managing personal development programs within an educational or young people service setting. * To apply for the position you must have previous experience of working with young people preferably in the FE sector and have GCSE’s in English & Maths (Grade A-C or equivalent) together with a Teaching or Coaching Qualification.
