Job Description
A leading Douglas-based firm of Chartered Accountants are experiencing continued growth and are now recruiting for a Student Trainee Accountant to join their expanding team.
As Student Trainee Accountant you will study toward a formal accounting qualification under the mentorship of the Associate Director. Duties will include:
* Assist with daily accounting operations, including data entry, accounts payable, and accounts receivable
* Support the preparation and analysis of financial statements and reports
* Help maintain accurate financial records and documentation
* Assist in the reconciliation of bank statements and general ledger accounts
* Support the preparation of budgets and forecasts
* Assist with audits and compliance checks
* Collaborate with the accounting team on various projects and tasks
The ideal candidate for the role of Student Trainee Accountant will be:
* Excellent A level grades of A or B in Mathematics and English
* Proficiency in Word, Excel and Outlook
* Knowledge of how to manage sensitive and confidential information
* Effective communication and interpersonal skills
* Strong attention to detail
* Excellent organisational and time management skills
* Be versatile and adaptable
