STUDIO / PRODUCTION SUPERVISOR (SIGNS & LARGE FORMAT) BRISTOL
£Competitive (Depending on Experience) + Overtime (Time & Half)
Hours: 7:30am to 4:15pm - Monday to Thursday / 7:30am to 4:00pm Friday
Holidays: 23 Days + 8 Bank Holiday
Our client is a sign and large-format graphics company in the Bristol area. They're currently seeking a Studio / Production Supervisor to combine creative artworking (60%) with hands-on production (40%).
This is an active role involving the day to day creation of customer artworks, use and maintenance of company equipment, completion of production processes and inspection of customer goods during and after manufacture. The Supervisor will work under the guidance of the Directors to ensure the continual improvement of the Studio department and its processes in accordance with the Quality Management System. The Supervisor will be responsible for ensuring good Health & Safety practises are upheld within their work area. Other tasks may be designated at management discretion.
Main Duties / Requirements:
Use of Illustrator, V-Carve, Adobe, Excel, Outlook and Word as required.
Use of the Gerber, Canon, Roland Printer and Zund and the completion of any calibration checks/ documentation as scheduled.
Creation of new or updated artworks in accordance with customer requirements and standards.
Understanding and knowledge of customer drawings.
Proof approval of artworks and liaising with customers to resolve any areas of ambiguity.
Conversion of artworks into files / films suitable for all production processes.
The co-inspection of artwork files created by other employees.
Completion of work order documents and any other relevant documents deemed necessary as production records/ proof of inspection.
Ordering/ maintenance of stock for studio use, including traceable materials.
Maintenance of studio files on the company server and hard copy files retained within the Studio.
The timely completion of FAIR inspections, SQNs and Quality Alerts for Aerospace customers.
Use of all relevant measuring devices, gauges, callipers and computers for inspections.
Training employees to complete all necessary studio processes and work order documentation.
Reporting of machinery faults and repair progress to management.
Regular attendance and reporting of all relevant matters at the production and departmental meetings
Reporting and recording non-conformances and quality issues on the appropriate page of the spread sheet register/ as per QP12.
Promoting and enforcing good health and safety practises within the Studio.
Use of the TCard system.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
