Job Description
We are recruiting for an experienced Sub Agent to join a major highways and civil engineering project in Glasgow. This is an excellent opportunity to take a key leadership role on a long-term contract with a respected infrastructure contractor. The position is offered Outside IR35 and available for an immediate start.
Key Responsibilities:

Overseeing day-to-day site operations and managing site engineers and subcontractors
*
Ensuring works are delivered safely, on time, and to quality standards
*
Reviewing and implementing construction drawings and specifications
*
Monitoring progress, preparing reports, and managing programme delivery
*
Supporting site health, safety, and environmental compliance
*
Liaising with the client, project manager, and wider delivery teams
Requirements:
*
Proven experience as a Sub Agent on highways or large civil engineering projects
*
Strong technical understanding of earthworks, drainage, and structures
*
Civil Engineering degree or HNC/HND equivalent
*
CSCS card and SMSTS certification preferred
*
Excellent communication and leadership skills

IR35 Status: Outside IR35
*
Duration: 12 months (potential extension)
*
Rate: £430 – £500 per day (DOE)

Location: Glasgow
*
Start: Immediate
