Job Description
We are recruiting for two experienced Sub Agents to support delivery of a major microtunneling and utilities infrastructure project in Liverpool. This long-term freelance opportunity is ideal for those with a strong background in trenchless works, shaft construction, or pipeline delivery.
Key Responsibilities:

Oversee daily site activities across microtunneling operations including shaft construction and TBM launch/reception
*
Manage site teams, engineers, and subcontractors to deliver against programme, quality, and safety targets
*
Ensure works are carried out in line with approved designs, RAMS, and technical specifications
*
Interface with client, stakeholders, and internal teams to ensure clear communication and coordination
*
Support the preparation and review of work package plans, ITPs, and quality documentation
*
Lead and coordinate HSE compliance across site activities
*
Provide mentoring and guidance to site engineers and supervisors
Requirements:
*
Proven experience in a Sub Agent role on major civils or tunneling schemes
*
Strong understanding of microtunneling or trenchless technologies is essential
*
SMSTS, CSCS (gold/black), and first aid preferred
*
Strong planning, communication, and team leadership skills
*
Able to manage multiple interfaces and coordinate effectively with multidisciplinary teams
