Salary: £32,916 - £51,048 (M1 to UPS3)
Monarch Education are working in partnership with a supportive and forward-thinking secondary school in South Gloucestershire (BS15), part of a respected multi-academy trust, to recruit a committed and experienced Subject Leader of Design and Technology. This is a full-time, fixed-term opportunity to cover maternity leave.

As Subject Leader of Design and Technology, you will:
Lead and develop the Design and Technology curriculum across Key Stages 3 and 4
Inspire and support pupils to achieve excellent outcomes in a practical and creative subject area
Manage and support members of the department, fostering a collaborative culture
Drive improvements in teaching, learning, and assessment within the subject
Monitor student progress and implement strategies to raise attainment
Contribute to whole-school development and enrichment opportunitiesThe Ideal Candidate
We are seeking a candidate who:
Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
Has strong subject knowledge within Design and Technology
Has experience of leading or supporting leadership within a department (or is ready to step up)
Demonstrates a passion for teaching and curriculum development
Has excellent organisational and communication skills
Is committed to achieving the best outcomes for all students
