We’re hiring a dedicated supervisor – workshop operations to join a well-established company in Swadlincote, Derbyshire. This is a fantastic opportunity to grow within a forward-thinking business and take charge of daily workshop operations in a hands-on, technical setting.
Key responsibilities
• Oversee day-to-day operations in a hands-on technical environment
• Lead and support workshop personnel
• Contribute to the strategic direction and growth of the business
• Maintain cleanliness, organisation and professionalism across the workshop
• Build and manage internal and external stakeholder relationships
• Assist with staffing and resourcing decisions
• Represent the company professionally at all times
• Carry out additional duties as required to support the wider team
Requirements
• HGV experience is essential
• Practical experience in a technical or mechanical workshop setting
• Confident working with various materials and tools
• Understanding of mechanical systems and sector-specific components
• Welding and electrical knowledge is a bonus
• Effective communication and leadership skills
• Motivation to progress within the company
• KPIs and goals will be introduced post-probation
