Supplier Quality Engineer
Location: Near Gerrards Cross, Uxbridge
Salary: Up to £55,000 per annum
Hours: Monday–Thursday 8:00–17:00, Friday 8:00–12:00 (early finish)
Type: Permanent, full-time
Benefits: 25 days holiday + bank holidays, 1.5x overtime rate, excellent pension scheme, and free on-site parking
We’re working with a well-established engineering business at the forefront of aerospace manufacturing, now looking for a Supplier Quality Engineer to join their growing team.
This position will see you supporting both the Quality and Sourcing departments, maintaining high supplier performance standards and identifying best-in-class machining and surface treatment partners — both across the UK and internationally.
It’s a varied, hands-on role with significant supplier interaction, requiring a blend of technical understanding, auditing skill and commercial awareness.
Supplier Quality Engineer Responsibilities
Conduct system and product audits across the supplier base and coordinate the resolution of non-conformance issues.
Maintain and update the approved supplier list, ensuring compliance with company and industry standards.
Carry out initial assessments and evaluations of potential new suppliers.
Drive continuous improvement and zero-defect initiatives throughout the supply chain.
Participate in internal quality investigations and contribute to root cause analysis and corrective actions.
Supplier Quality Engineer Profile
Proven experience and working knowledge of AS9100 and CAA Part 21 regulations.
Familiarity with the AS9120 First Article Process.
Demonstrable auditing experience within aerospace, defence, or automotive manufacturing environments.
Confident using Microsoft Office applications for reporting and data management.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel both nationally and internationally.
