Job Description
Rubicon Consulting is currently recruiting for a Supplier Quality Engineer on a 12 month rolling contract based in West Midlands.
Role Summary
As a Supplier Quality Manufacturing Engineer, your day will be filled with engaging interactions with suppliers, analyzing data, and driving continuous improvement. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the highest quality standards are met, while fostering strong relationships with our valued suppliers.
Requirements:
Required:
· Technical training or further education in quality, mechanical, or electrical engineering
· Familiarity with Quality Management Systems (e.g. ISO9001), Supplier Quality Management (SQM) and Quality Control routines.
· Comprehensive knowledge of manufacturing processes
· Knowledge of drawing interpretation (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing)
· Demonstrated ability to work with design engineering organization to ensure parts are manufacturable.
· Proven ability to manage multi-problem investigations simultaneously.
· Self-motivated attitude and ownership of projects
· Ability to project manage Product and Process Qualifications and unexpected Supplier Quality Issues from beginning to end.
· Knowledge of inspection methodologies and assessment of inspection capability.
· Experience working with or at manufacturing facilities
· Experience working with critical parts. (Complex parts such as disc, shaft, complex assemblies)
Preferred:
· Proven track record of application of Quality improvement processes and tools (e.g. 8D, 5 Whys, Ishikawa)
· SAP experience.
Working requirements:
· In office presence – 3 days min per week
· No legal travel regulations
· Travel to suppliers up to 50%
