Job Description

We’re seeking an experienced Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE) on a long term hybrid contract for a prestige automotive business in East Anglia.
 
 You will drive supplier performance and product quality across interior commodities (e.g., trim, seats, cockpit, door systems, NVH) and select appearance-critical hardware, including rebranding of brake calipers (finish, marking and logo application) and cosmetic chassis parts (visible brackets, subframes, coatings, anodised/painted structures)..
 
 You’ll partner closely with design, purchasing, manufacturing and programme teams to ensure flawless launches, robust change control and premium fit-and-finish worthy of a prestige marque.

 Essential Skills & Experience
 Proven Supplier Quality Engineer experience within automotive (prestige/luxury experience advantageous).
 Strong background in interiors (cockpit, door/trim, seats, headliner, console, acoustic/NVH)
 Hands-on with APQP/PPAP, FMEA, Control Plans, SPC, MSA, 8D/PSW, (email address removed).
 Demonstrable success resolving cosmetic quality issues.
 Data-driven, assertive at supplier sites, able to influence and escalate appropriately.
 Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills across engineering, supply chain and manufacturing.
 
 Desirable
 OEM/Tier?1 launch experience for prestige or low-volume performance vehicles.
 Knowledge of CMF, appearance master management, and visual standards creation.
 Exposure to coatings (e.g., powder, wet paint, e?coat), anodising, PVD, laser marking.
 Working knowledge of IMDS, REACH, and material compliance for interiors.
