Location: Clondalkin Dublin
Salary: €70,000 - €80,000 + Bonus
Hours: Monday to Friday (40 hours per week)

Syntech Recruitment are supporting a leading engineering and building services organisation in their search for a Supply Chain Manager. This is a senior, strategic position responsible for overseeing purchasing operations, supplier management, inventory control, and ERP/data accuracy across the full supply chain function.
The successful candidate will lead the Purchasing team, drive cost-efficiency, improve system reliability, and ensure that stock availability, procurement accuracy, and inbound cost control meet the needs of a high-performing technical business.
Supply Chain Manager Responsibilities
Lead the Purchasing team, setting performance standards and driving best practice.
Manage all procurement activities to ensure timely, cost-effective, compliant purchasing.
Maintain optimal stock availability while managing stock levels, forecasting, and reducing obsolescence.
Oversee product range management and agree stocked ranges with business units.
Develop strong supplier relationships to ensure reliability, performance, and negotiating leverage.
Manage rebate agreements and supplier-related financial performance.
Own and improve business systems used for procurement, inventory control, and supply chain visibility.
Identify inefficiencies and implement workflow, process, and systems improvements.
Maintain clear oversight of purchasing budgets and cost control measures.
Ensure product price files are accurate, up-to-date, and aligned with supplier terms.
Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Finance, Warehouse Operations, and Senior leadership.
Produce structured reporting: stock availability, purchasing KPIs, supplier performance, ESG data, and spend analysis.
Support ERP upgrades, implementations, and digital transformation initiatives within the supply chain environment.
Supply Chain Manager Experience
Strong analytical mindset with high attention to detail.
Process-driven approach with experience refining workflows and improving system reliability.
Leadership capability with clear standards, accountability, and team development experience.
Excellent communicator with cross-functional collaboration skills.
Strong commercial awareness, understanding procurement, cost control, and supplier leverage.
Highly competent in ERP systems, digital tools, and supply chain automation.
Organised, systematic, and able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
Comfortable working with KPIs, performance data, and structured reporting.
Ethical, transparent, and professional in procurement practices.
