Supply Chain & Procurement Executive

Tipton

£32,000 - £35,000 doe

Our FMCG client is looking to recruit a highly organised Supply Chain & Procurement Executive that ensures products move smoothly from suppliers → warehouse → customers, while maintaining strict quality standards and financial discipline.

This is an exciting role for someone with experience in a similar FMCG role

Key Duties

  * Analyse sales trends and coordinate stock forecasting.

  * Identify future shortfalls or excess stock and adjust purchasing accordingly.

  * Plan purchasing around lead times, cashflow, and product launch cycles.

  * Understand the components of COGS (raw materials, packaging, freight, duties).

  * Ensure purchasing aligns with budget and cashflow availability.

  * Track landed costs and highlight margin risks.

  * Raise and manage purchase orders.

  * Track supplier lead times and confirm product specifications.

  * Source and vet new suppliers (materials, packaging, manufacturers).

  * Negotiate pricing, minimum order quantities (MOQs), and payment terms.

  * Maintain accurate stock levels and update ERP (e.g., Unleashed).

  * Conduct stock reconciliations with warehouse teams.

  * Manage batch, expiry, and traceability data.

  * Monitor reorder points and drive purchasing decisions.

  * Cost & cashflow planning

  * ERP purchasing & inventory

Essential Experience

  * Excellent Analytical skills

  * Negotiation & relationship skills

  * Strong commercial understanding

  * 2–3 years in operations, supply chain in FMCG

  * Strong organisational skills and high accuracy.

  * Ability to work cross-functionally: warehouse, suppliers, management.

  * Confidence using ERP systems, spreadsheets, and operational workflows.

  * Proactive, solutions-driven mindset.

  * Ability to prioritise in a fast-paced environment.

  * Attention to detail and strong communicator
