We’re seeking a supply teaching assistant to join our team, offering support in Key Stage 1 (KS1), Key Stage 2 (KS2), and Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) classrooms across the borough of Havering. This part-time, ongoing role allows you to work in a variety of schools, gaining diverse experience while making a real difference to students’ learning journeys.
About the Role
As a supply teaching assistant, your responsibilities will include:
• Providing support to teachers in delivering engaging lessons across EYFS, KS1, and KS2 classrooms
• Assisting students with special educational needs (SEN), helping them access the curriculum and reach their full potential
• Supporting small groups or 1:1 with students, ensuring they feel confident and capable in their learning
• Helping to maintain a positive, focused, and inclusive classroom environment
• Assisting with the preparation of teaching resources and activities

Ideal Candidate
We are looking for a passionate and adaptable individual who:
• Has experience working with children in a primary school setting, ideally with EYFS, KS1, or KS2
• Has a keen interest in supporting students with special educational needs (SEN)
• Is patient, empathetic, and able to build strong relationships with students and staff
• Can work independently and as part of a team
• Is eager to make a positive impact and contribute to the learning experience of young children
