Job Description
Support Coordinator required for local charity that deals with victims of sexual assault or domestic violence. Based in Central Gloucester working full time hours paying £24956.
If you feel you have the skills and experience to support adults and children going through a traumatic period in their life our client would love to hear from you.
Working as part of a small but passionate team the role will involve the following duties:
- taking the initial contact / referral for someone that needs support from the service
- ensuring that the client feels fully supported and listened to throughout their need to use the service
- ensuring all client records are maintained and updated regularly
- support the client through the process from crisis to recovery
- signpost and support clients to access information advice and support
The above is a snapshot of the type of duties the role will involve but is by no means exhaustive.
This is genuinely an opportunity to support people at their most vulnerable and whilst the salary might not seem the most attractive this role will suit someone whose main driver is not the salary but the opportunity to help people.
In return our client will provide a supportive environment with the opportunity to develop and take on additional training and will also provide emotional and professional support to help you cope with your day to day role.
